As the Program Manager, Alexis is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the center's various initiatives and services. She ensures that all programs run smoothly, collaborating with community partners and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support to survivors of domestic violence and their families. Alexis' strong organizational skills and attention to detail contribute to the effective implementation of programs, ensuring that the FJC remains a trusted resource within the community.

Office Technician Coordinator
Laura brings a wealth of experience to the San Joaquin County Family Justice Center, having spent ten years in the field of medical billing before joining the FJC team in 2019. With her diverse skill set, she is a valuable asset in various areas of the center. As Nala's Handler, Laura works alongside a remarkable four-legged companion to provide comfort and emotional support to those in need. She also lends her creative flair to the center by creating eye-catching graphics that help raise awareness about domestic violence and support services. In addition, Laura assists victims in navigating the court system, offering guidance and compassion during their difficult journey. Passionate about advocating for the vulnerable, Laura believes in empowering survivors to reclaim their lives and build a brighter future.
MARITZA
Office Assistant Specialist
Maritza's dedication to breaking the cycle of violence is evident in her role as an Office Assistant Specialist at the San Joaquin County Family Justice Center. ANGELINA
Senior Office Assistant
Angelina is the welcoming face of the San Joaquin County Family Justice Center (FJC), greeting visitors with warmth and compassion as they step through the doors. Her journey with the FJC began with a desire to make a difference in people's lives. With a heart dedicated to helping others, she finds fulfillment in knowing that at the FJC, assistance is extended to victims irrespective of whether a crime report has been filed. Angelina's passion for community impact led her to pursue a psychology degree, enabling her to connect with individuals on a deeper level and facilitate their journey towards accessing essential services. Her background includes valuable experience with the Victim Witness division, where she honed her skills in providing support to those in need. Beyond her administrative role, Angelina finds joy in connecting with children who visit the FJC, offering comfort and distraction while their parents receive vital services. Her presence embodies the FJC's commitment to holistic support and underscores the importance of compassion in every interaction. With her dedication, Angelina continues to play a pivotal role in the FJC's mission to empower and uplift the community.
KAREN
Victim Witness Advocate
Karen has spent four years as a Victim Witness Advocate at the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, guiding people through some of the toughest days of their lives. She’s passionate about being a source of stability and clarity for victims as they navigate the often confusing justice system. Karen takes pride in helping victims find their way through the darkness and start on a path toward healing. Her approach combines deep empathy with a thorough understanding of the legal processes. She sees her role as not just about providing information but also about offering comfort and reassurance when it's needed most. Karen’s dedication to her clients and her ability to simplify complex situations make her a valuable part of the FJC team, helping victims take their first steps toward recovery.
NALA
FJC Facility Dog
Nala started her journey with the Family Justice Center November 2020. She is a fully trained Facility Dog that was provided to the FJC by Guide Dogs of America/Tender Loving Canines. Nala is trained to do specific, skilled tasks in a variety of different situations within our facility. She provides comfort and support to victims and survivors while they are on their journey of healing.
