With a diverse background in Law Enforcement, she has accumulated valuable experience as a Probation Officer. She has a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system and her dedication to community safety makes her an exceptional leader within the FJC team.

As the Program Manager, Alexis is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the center's various initiatives and services. She ensures that all programs run smoothly, collaborating with community partners and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support to survivors of domestic violence and their families. Alexis' strong organizational skills and attention to detail contribute to the effective implementation of programs, ensuring that the FJC remains a trusted resource within the community.

Office Technician Coordinator

Laura brings a wealth of experience to the San Joaquin County Family Justice Center, having spent ten years in the field of medical billing before joining the FJC team in 2019. With her diverse skill set, she is a valuable asset in various areas of the center. As Nala's Handler, Laura works alongside a remarkable four-legged companion to provide comfort and emotional support to those in need. She also lends her creative flair to the center by creating eye-catching graphics that help raise awareness about domestic violence and support services. In addition, Laura assists victims in navigating the court system, offering guidance and compassion during their difficult journey. Passionate about advocating for the vulnerable, Laura believes in empowering survivors to reclaim their lives and build a brighter future.



Office Assistant Specialist

Maritza's dedication to breaking the cycle of violence is evident in her role as an Office Assistant Specialist at the San Joaquin County Family Justice Center. With a passion for making a positive impact, she is committed to supporting survivors on their path to healing and justice. Maritza's bilingual abilities in English and Spanish play a crucial role in her work, as she ensures effective communication and accessibility for diverse communities. She provides invaluable court support to victims. Additionally, Maritza helps individuals navigate the vast network of resources available, empowering them to access the support they need to rebuild their lives. Her unwavering commitment and compassionate approach make her an indispensable member of the FJC team.



Office Assistant Specialist

Yvette is a dedicated member of our team, bringing a wealth of passion and a natural inclination to help others. With a heart for service, she finds fulfillment in being a dependable source of support for individuals facing hardships. Yvette's passion lies in helping others navigate tough times. Known for her reliability, she takes pride in offering valuable advice to those facing hard times. With a blend of patience and compassion, Yvette creates a welcoming environment for open dialogue. She understands the significance of taking the time to truly listen and empathize with others, fostering an environment where individuals feel understood and supported. Her friendly and outgoing nature ensures that individuals feel comfortable seeking help. She wants people to understand the importance of reaching out and providing assistance to those in need, emphasizing that the Family Justice Center is a place where support and understanding are readily available. Yvette is a firm believer in the importance of supporting others, making her a valuable asset to the Family Justice Center. 



Victim Witness Advocate

Jessica is a dedicated Victim Witness Advocate with over 6 years of experience helping individuals impacted by crime. She is passionate about guiding people from victimhood to survivorship and empowering them to find their voice in the face of adversity. Jessica's mission extends to educating the community on their rights and providing the necessary support and encouragement for individuals to regain control of their lives. She is able to assist victims in navigating the Criminal Justice Process, filling out paperwork, as well as meeting with prosecuting attorneys. Prior to her advocacy work, she served as a substance abuse counselor, working with pregnant and postpartum women struggling with addiction. Jessica's commitment to her clients and her drive to make a difference in their lives make her an invaluable member of the Victim Witness team at the Family Justice Center. She is a beacon of support for those seeking to thrive after experiencing trauma. 



FJC Facility Dog

Nala started her journey with the Family Justice Center November 2020. She is a fully trained Facility Dog that was provided to the FJC by Guide Dogs of America/Tender Loving Canines. Nala is trained to do specific, skilled tasks in a variety of different situations within our facility. She provides comfort and support to victims and survivors while they are on their journey of healing.
