Human Trafficking, known as modern day slavery, is making a person work or sell themselves by either physical or psychological force, by fraud or trickery, or through threats of harm, and includes children selling or trading their bodies or labor. The FBI has detected that California’s Central Valley is a corridor for human trafficking between San Francisco and San Diego.
  
Eligibility:  The contest is open to junior high and high school students attending public, private, or home schools in San Joaquin County
     

Contest Rules:

  • The poster must express ways to identify human trafficking

  • The entries will be divided in two categories:  Junior High and High School

  • Original artwork ONLY (no copyrighted material)

  • Limit of one entry per student or group

  • The theme title “Can you see me”? must be displayed on the poster

  • The submitted artwork will be judged on visual effectiveness, relevance of message, universal appeal, and originality.

  • To be considered, the submission must be accompanied by a completed entry form

  • No nudity or foul language in your submission please.

  

Submission:  Poster and entry form must be uploaded through the Family Justice Center of San Joaquin County website by using the submission box below.

  

Deadline:  Entries must be received by 5PM on Thursday, Dec 1, 2022

  

Winners will be recognized by San Joaquin Human Trafficking Task Force and by a panel of community leaders on January 11, 2023 as part of our 6th Annual Human Trafficking End It Summit.
